Carefree is slick '30s screwball comedy and a very enjoyable one.  Fred plays a suave psychoanalyst to whom Ralph Bellamy brings his reluctant fiancee (Ginger) -- under the assumption that she must have deeply hidden problems if she doesn't want to marry him.

This time it is Fred  who is pursued by Ginger -- she has no problem at all recognizing that he's the guy for her, not Ralph.  Ginger has some very funny running-amuck scenes while still under Dr. Fred's hypnosis.  The hypnosis is also brought into the stunning "Change Partners" (pictured here), where Astaire truly is mesmerizing.
