They don't make um like James Cagney anymore. Wish I could of sat and talked with the man for hours. He's the best and I dearly love his movies.

My mother has always been a fan of the older movies. One of her favorite actors is James Cagney. White Heat was one of her favorites. I love the end when he says "Made it Ma, top of the world" and then he dies. Awesome ending to the movie. I also like Public Enemy and Angels with Dirty Faces. The look he gives as he is walking to the electric chair is fabulous. Only James Cagney could give that look and the sinister smirk. What a classy guy. They don't make them like that anymore. They broke the mold after he came along. Thank you Mr. Cagney for the entertainment that you still continue to provide.

I love that closeup of Cagney when he squints and snickers right before walking thru the rain to knock off his rivals in "The Public Enemy". Man, that little clip shows that whatever 'it' is. he had it!

I have watched White Heat at least 100 times. Before my Mom passed away it was a ritual with us! Now whenever it plays on TCM, I have my youngest son watch with me!
