I guess you can take the kid out of Montana but can't take Montana out of the kid. He's mid-America writ large. I was sorry to read about his political perspective, but I guess his success removed him from the lives of millions during his life. Depression, for whom? I did not realize that he was such a focused actor; this webpage has helped me respect his skills. Of course, I liked all the movies he ever made. Bless him for his acting gifts to us in portraying heroic characters.
