Hi Francesca,
Every 5 years, I must submit to a background investigation because of my position with the National Park Service. This last time I found myself surfing the internet for information that led me to your website. I know we have a mutual person in common. My mom died 10 years ago from lung cancer. I have been happily married for the past 5 yrs. and we both live and work in a beautiful national park. I am going to give you the date, June 7, 1966. I spoke to my father once when he called to tell me Happy New Year when I was 7 yrs. old.
I wish he could have lived longer.
I hope you will contact me - I will send you my e-mail via the yahoo address you have posted earlier.
Sincerely,
Shawn

Dear Francesca,
yesterday in the day room i swore i saw your grandfather on the tv but they changed the channel so fast i wasnt sure. today i sat at the computer and someone had been looking at this website. things like this happen to me all the time. esther said your father was crazy and that you must be also due to your upbringing. ithink she said this before i saw you on the tv, but im not sure. im supposed to be crazy to but they want you to be so they make you. you have such a kind face like an angel and so does your grandfather. how old is your son?love him and never let him feel alone in the world.
i just wanted you to know that we are all part of the same matrix so he is never alone.
i love you and your grandpa.
05 August 2005 - the question is where am i going

Response:   Dear Sylvia,
We all wish we knew where we are going. But to know would take away from the journey..

Just wanted to say 'great site.' I have been collecting classic movie star t-shirts for the past several years and would love to buy a Edward G Robinson shirt!
On a sidebar, I was in Marseille back in the mid-1980s and saw a cool t-shirt of Maurice Chevalier that had his picture on the front (from Gigi or Fanny) and writing on the back (it was in french and I couldn't read it). Does anyone know what i'm talking about and where I could get one?

Response:   Dear Richard,
At this point you may purchase a poster, but we have not yet manufactured a t-shirt.
Maurice Chevalier was a good friend of Eddie and Gladys'. Besides being a great talent Mr. Chevalier was also a wonderful human being..
(Maybe the web-mistress knows of the t-shirt)

Cordially,

Francesca

Dear Francesa,
I had heard from a second cousin that your grandmother or step-grandmother was a native of and grew up in Fairfield, Iowa. My cousin said that she was in New York once and called to talk with her childhood friend.
Your grandfather answered the phone and upon hearing her request to speak to Mrs. Robinson, was informed that we do not know anyone from Fairfield, Iowa.
I have always been curious whether Gladys or Jane may have been from here. The date of birth would have been about
1902 or 1903. Thanks Jack

Response:   Dear Jack,
My grandmother Gladys Lloyd Robinson was
born in New York. Jane Robinson Sidney was born in New York City.
Gladys was born before 1902. Jane was born in 1919.

Sincerely,

Francesca
