Pauline.Taking the liberty of responding to your question, Edward G. Robinson had one son, Edward G., Jr., or Manny (1933-1974), who's daughter is Francesca, and who's son is Adam.

Edward G.'s character name in KID GALAHAD (technically, he was a fight promoter, but gangster picture is apt) was Nick Donati. Bogart was Bugs Fenner; Davis was Fluff Phillips.

To Anna Marie McKay: The film you mention might be KID GALAHAD, wherein he and Bogart kill each other in a shootout. The girl is Bette Davis, and his kid sister is played by Jane Bryan. During shooting, they stood over him as he was playing the death scene, weeping, and he complained to director Michael Curtiz, "Don't you think the girls are crying too much?" There may be a similarly ended film of his, but right now, it doesn't come to mind.

Please tell me the name of the film and the name of the gangster character EGR played where it ended with his death, lying on a bed, and one of his last lines was "you're a swell kid." or, "you've been a swell kid" to his
co-star actress (name unknown)THANKS!
