He said that he remembers being a young child with his mom at Ocean Park when Eddie came up to his mother to greet her. He said that he remembered her from their home in Roumania. His trek southward across the African continent gave the film its titles. 16 January 2007 - St. Louis Bob | @ To Bob in Texas: Another Bob, here, in St. Louis, taking the liberty of responding to your question; the film was A BOY TEN FEET TALL (known also as SAMMY GOING SOUTH in the United Kingdom, I think) and based on a book of the latter title. It was shot in 1963 but not distributed for a year or two. Edward G.
