My mother is 75 and told me she also saw a movie in the early 1970's,similar to Pat Kane's question. She was talking about this movie right before I read Pat's question, so I anxiously awaited the answer. She doesn't recall many details, but said she thought the movie had a lot of the Christmas season in it. She thinks it was actually made in the 70's. She said EGR was looking through a window, but doesn't remember at what part of the movie this was. I've tried to figure out which one it could be by reading comments from viewers, but without actually seeing each movie I just can't figure it out. Could it be a movie that was only shown the one time in the 70's? I had hoped to purchase it for my mom for Christmas. Warm Regards, Francesca robert beck | @ Re Pat Kane's question about the film about a character looking in the window of his home at Christmas: The film's plotline is evocative of THE LAST GANGSTER, wherein he goes inside the house at the end and talks with his former wife and her new husband (James Stewart) before he's bumped off by a rival gangster. But I don't believe it's the right film. It's obviously not THE WOMAN IN THE WINDOW (or 'the lady'), either, whose story doesn't match.
