Liz I discovered Fred and Ginger for the first time this year, and then bought both of the 5 DVD collections. Fred Astaire takes my breath away! I only wish I could've danced with him! I would enjoy watching clips of his dances from various movies without having to watch the entire movies. If there's not one, why doesn't someone put one together? Thank you for creating such an informative and beautiful site. 25 November 2007 Bob DiNardo | @ I was born shortly after Fred and Ginger hit the screen, so much of my youth was spent watching their films in what were then third run movie houses in the forties. But it wasn't until the early eighties did I get to see them dance in "Roberta," when they literally took my breath away when they danced to "Smoke Gets In Your Eyes." Anyone interested in Fred should do everything possible to see that particular piece of choreography. It's simple, elegant, flawless, and, yes, breathtaking.
