I am joining all of you in paying tribute to one of God's most talented children, Fred Astaire. I am also feeling that I have a little crush on his movie persona. Now, is there anyone who has a copy of "A Damsel In Distress," or could tell me where to purchase it? I am continuing to search online, but am hoping I won't be disappointed permanently in my hope to see this film.
Many thanks in advance for any help you can offer.

I am so grateful that Fred Astaire did what he did. My family and I discovered him for the first time about 3 years ago, and we have been crazy for him ever since. We have been watching his movies and listening to his music and loving every minute of it. I think I may have the youngest Fred Astaire fans living in my house. My daugther is 7 and my son is 3 and they both have watched all of his movies and can sing along with all his songs. They love him just as much as I do. It is really adorable. When my son was 2 years old, we would say "Let me see you dance like Fred Astaire." He would tap his little feet with a big smile on his face. We truly love Fred Astaire. He has brought a lot of joy to our home. He is someone we can enjoy together as family.

I am looking for the dance steps to the number called "The Continental" (I think thats the name?) Can anyone help as to where to look or maybe you know the steps. Would appreciate it very much. I work as a hospice volunteer and would like to use this routine to help cheer someone. Thanks.Love and Laughter

Hats, sticks, umbrellas, raincoats, quick-fitting trousers belted with silk ties: the enduring relaxed elegance of Fred Astaire, achieved only by genius and the hardest work.

I first watched Fred and Ginger when my girlfriend suggested it. We watched Swing Time and it was perhaps one of the most incredible films I have seen to date! We then followed with all the others and I couldn’t help but love each one. They had something that I think now actor of this age nor any age can achieve. They style, the music, the dances are incredible.
I'm only 21 and probably wouldn’t have come across these films myself, however I am very grateful to my girlfriend for the suggestion as I have never regretted it.
