It is a fitting tribute to a one of a kind actor and gentleman. I remember him particularly (when I was a little girl) being on the Jack Benny radio show in which he was a neighbor of Jack's and was constantly bedeviled by him. They don't have shows like that anymore. 23 May 2010 - NewJersey Jan Tartu | @ This Anniversary of the passing of Ronald Colman reminds me of these verses he uttered as the French poet Francois Villon in the film IF I WERE KING: " Oh! The Spring is sometime off and Time does strange things to people, doesn't it? I wonder. I wonder in what misty isle the voice of Sappho thrills the air. And what green valley of the Nile does Cleopatra still despair for Antony, the debonair! The Wind has blown them all away. The Good, the Bad, the Foul, the Fair. Where are the Snows of Yesterday!" Annunziata | @ Ronald Colman died 52 years ago today, May 19th, 1958. Long passed but all the fonder remembered and admired. He left a wonderful body of work, not only in motion pictures but also television and especially radio. His recorded works are truly marvelous, with that wonderful God-given voice. May it forever reverberate in the heavens and here on this earth. He gave us all beautiful romantic dreams and it is so sad to think he has gone.
