Restless Rosa (Bette Davis) is bored with her hick town, her hardworking doctor husband (Joseph Cotten), in fact, her whole life. She craves excitement and adventure, but when she dallies with big-city bigshot David Brian, things begin to go downhill rapidly.  (The oft-used quote, "What a dump!" originated here.)
