B. F.'s Daughter (1948)

Barbara Stanwyck plays the wealthy title character, determined to help her husband, Van Heflin, advance in his career.  He's very independent, however, and takes a dim view of what he considers her manipulation.  Glossy, rather ponderous drama but Stanwyck is a joy to watch, as always.
