The Big Shot (1942)

Humphrey Bogart is Duke Berne, a crook with a record that will send him to jail for life if he's ever arrested again. In an ironic twist of fate he does get arrested, but for a crime he didn't commit. Somewhat reminiscent of Bogie's "High Sierra" a year earlier - not quite the same caliber, but a good one.
