The Black Sleep (1956)


Basil Rathbone saves a convicted doctor from the gallows to employ him as his assistant in some...experiments.  The young doctor is at first grateful, then increasingly appalled at the nature of Rathbone's endeavors. Low-budget horror flick that's actually not bad at all. Other big-name horror stars have smaller roles as well - Bela Lugosi, John Carradine, Lon Chaney Jr.
